06 October 2007
Students to learn film and post production mixing techniques on industry leading platform
AMS Neve Ltd is pleased to announce that the world-renowned SAE Institute will
purchase and install a DFC PS1 Digital Film Console for its newly expanded
London school – Europe's first educational film mixing facility. The new console
will be used to school thousands of students on various aspects of modern film
and post-production mixing, reinforcing the Academy Award-winning DFC's
position as the industry-leading film console.
'SAE is committed to providing its students uncompromising, "real-world"
education, using the same professional tools that the world's pre-eminent
studios use,' commented Tom Misner, President of SAE Institute. 'With the
majority of each year's blockbuster films and thousands of first-class
commercial spots being produced on DFC consoles, we insisted upon a DFC PS1 for
our newly expanded London school.'
'We are proud that SAE has chosen the
DFC console to educate its students in state-of-the-art professional film
mixing,' commented Frank Massam, Vice President of Business Development at AMS
Neve Ltd. 'The SAE Institute is the clear worldwide leader in audio education,
and they've consistently chosen AMS Neve. This speaks volumes about our
products, and the DFC platform in particular.'
Introduced over ten years
ago, the Academy Award-winning AMS Neve DFC was the first true multi-operator
Digital Film Console. To this day, it remains the mixing platform for the
majority of each year's top-grossing films and high-profile television spots.
